favorite Brands
Every marketer has brands that they admire, either because it’s an amazing product and/or because it was marketed really well - ideally both. Here is my ever-evolving short list of brands that I have been loyal to over the years.
LUSH cosmetics
My friends and family always know that when it comes to giving me a gift, they can never go wrong with something from LUSH. I was in heaven when I visited one of their stores years ago and I’ve been going back ever since. From the unique and sustainable-friendly packaging, to the product naming, and even labels, they know how to position themselves. It also doesn’t hurt that the products themselves are amazing and always on trend with the season for repeat business.
Nike
I’ve been a fan of Nike for as long as I can remember. They have some of the most reliable and sturdy apparel, and a line of sustainable options to boot! The Air Zoom Terra Kiger has been my go-to OCR shoe for many years due to it’s grip and mud-friendly design.
That being said, there are many great running brands these days and I am always trying new things including…
Craft
Thanks to Spartan Race, I’ve recently discovered Craft Sportswear and I’m in love. Their running shirts have survived the brutal beatings of a Spartan Race and are so lightweight that I hardly feel like I’m wearing anything at all. Their women’s running collection is extensive and makes me wish I could wear activewear all day every day.
Altra
Altra has been my reliable trail running go-to for a handful of years now. While I still rely on Nike for race shoes, I love Altra for my long training runs and they have yet to disappoint. The Lone Peak has a nice neutral footbed with reliable tread that won’t let me slip while bombing downhill on the trail. And the Mont Blancs have been my steady partner for 10+ mile runs with extra cushion and are fairly indestructible.
AlleyOOP Wurf Rocker Board
Since we can’t play all the time and sometimes we have to work, I use my Wurf board to keep my body balanced and my posture straight while working on my computer for hours on end. I like their motto, “Life doesn’t stand still. Neither should you.” They offer some economical options compared to the competition that are in my opinion much more sleek and stylish.
Ezydog
My dog is just as adventurous as I am, and I was constantly on the hunt for the best harness that could keep up with our activities and I finally found it with Ezydog. The neoprene front strap is nearly indestructible and keeps my dog comfortable, while the reflective stitching makes it easy to spot her at night. It’s quick and easy to put on and fits her barrel chest well without rubbing like other traditional harnesses.
SUUNTO
All of my friends who use Garmin may roll their eyes at me, but I’m a die-hard Suunto GPS watch fan. As someone who isn’t committed to just one sport, I love that Suunto designed a watch that can go on any adventure with me, whether it’s diving, climbing, running, paddle boarding, and more, it has reliable tracking to follow me wherever I go. They’ve made some great improvements to their app over the years and it integrates seamlessly with Strava.
