The Internal Race: Mindset Coaching for Athletes

Introducing:

You train your body for every mile, every rep, every race. But the toughest battles aren’t always physical—they’re in your head. The Internal Race is a coaching program designed to help athletes build resilience, confidence, and focus so they can perform at their best—on race day and in life.

Your mind will give up before your body does. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This coaching experience is built for athletes who want more than just a training plan.

Podium CHasers

Experienced athletes chasing personal bests, age-group podiums, or ambitious new goals who know that mental performance can be the difference-maker.

Newer Racers

First-time or early-stage athletes working toward completing their first big race, who want to feel supported, confident, and prepared to push through doubt.

If you’ve ever thought “My mind might be holding me back”—this is for you.

What’s included

Over the course of 6 weeks, you’ll train your mindset the way you train your body: with structure, intention, and accountability. Each 60-minute session covers different building blocks of mental performance with exercises in between to keep you on track.

  • Train your brain to stay steady when workouts (and life) get hard.

  • Replace self-doubt with a repeatable process for building race-day certainty.

  • Find sustainable fuel beyond “grit,” so you keep showing up.

  • Learn mental strategies to perform under pressure.

  • Share breakthroughs and setbacks with others who get it either through group coaching or our exclusive WhatsApp group.

My Racing & Coaching credentials.

I’ve been racing for over 20 years and have completed 100+ events across road, trail, and obstacle course racing. My experience includes:

  • Two ultra marathons

  • Five full marathons

  • Dozens of half marathons, trail races, and endurance events

  • OCR competitions like HYROX and Spartan

  • 18 podium finishes across distances and disciplines

  • 2 elite podium finishes (Spartan and Broken Arrow Skyrace)

  • Racing globally across America, Europe, and Australia

Beyond racing, I bring coaching and leadership experience from working at top brands like Fitbit, Google, and iFIT, where I built and led high-performing teams. I’m certified through the Co-Active Training Institute (endorsed by Google for their executive leadership training) and the Positive Intelligence program.

I’m not just a coach—I’m an athlete who’s been through the highs of PRs and podiums and the lows of cancelled races, injuries, and setbacks. I know what it feels like to battle nerves at the start line, hit the wall mid-race, and push through doubt when things don’t go as planned. But more importantly, I know the tools it takes to push through.

FAQs

How long is the program?

Each option runs for about 6 weeks, with one 60-minute session every other week and optional mental exercises in between each.

Is this therapy?

No. Coaching is future-focused and action-oriented. We’ll focus on building tools you can apply immediately to your training and racing.

What is the difference between coaching and sports psychology?

Sports psychology is often clinical and diagnostic. Coaching is action-oriented, future-focused, and rooted in real-world race experience. I’m not a therapist—I’m a coach who equips you with tools you can apply immediately in training and competition.

Do you offer women-only group coaching?

Yes. That would be set up as a custom cohort. If you’d like to train alongside a group of women athletes, I’ll form a private group specifically for that purpose.

Do I need to be fast or experienced to benefit?

Not at all. This program is designed for both podium chasers and newer racers. Mental skills training applies whether you’re racing your first 5K or chasing a sub-3 marathon.

What if I miss a session?

No problem. All 1:1 sessions can be rescheduled with 24 hour notice. You can make up a missed group session with a private 1:1 at a discounted rate, or wait for the next cohort.

When does the next cohort start?

Fresh cohorts start each month. Spots are limited so that every athlete gets individual attention.

Do I need to be training for a specific race?

No. This program works whether you’re aiming for a first finish line or a PR. With group coaching, I run sessions for podium chasers and newer racers at the same time so you can join the one that fits you best. (If your group is preparing for the same race, I’ll tailor the content to that.)

What if I’m not sure which format is right for me?

Let’s talk—I’ll help you decide whether 1:1, group, or a custom cohort is the best fit for your goals.

What if I’m not training for a race, can I still sign up?

Yes! You don’t need to have a race locked in to sign up. As long as you move your body, you’re an athlete and this is for you.

What does a coaching session look like?

Each 60-minute session follows a clear flow: we’ll start by checking in on your week (training, wins, challenges), then dive into a specific mindset tool or framework. You’ll leave with a practice or strategy to implement right away, and we’ll set an accountability check to carry you into the next session. Sessions are conversational, interactive, and always tailored to your goals.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes. Discounts are available for:

  • Private cohorts (3–5 athletes training together)

  • Referrals

  • Full-time students

  • Athletes who are currently unemployed

What results can I expect?

You’ll walk away with a toolbox of repeatable strategies for confidence, resilience, and focus. That means showing up on race day with a calmer head, a clearer plan, and a stronger belief in yourself.
